I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “sorrow . . .” from the New Testament.

he went away sorrowful:
for he had great possessions.
Matthew 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?

tarry ye here,
and watch with me.

and watch.

behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.

he was very sorrowful:
for he was very rich.
Luke 18:24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful,
he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

and was come to his disciples,
he found them sleeping for sorrow,

but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

because her hour is come:
but as soon as she is delivered of the child,
she remembereth no more the anguish,
for joy that a man is born into the world.
John 16:22 And ye now therefore have sorrow:
but I will see you again,
and your heart shall rejoice,
and your joy no man taketh from you.

that they should see his face no more.
And they accompanied him unto the ship.

and continual sorrow in my heart.

as having nothing,

2 Corinthians 7:9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry,
but that ye sorrowed to repentance:
for ye were made sorry after a godly manner,
that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of:
but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
2 Corinthians 7:11 For behold this selfsame thing,
that ye sorrowed after a godly sort,
what carefulness it wrought in you,
yea, what clearing of yourselves,
yea, what indignation,
yea, what fear,
yea, what vehement desire,
yea, what zeal,
yea, what revenge!
In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
Philippians 2:27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death:
but God had mercy on him;
and not on him only, but on me also,
lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.

so much torment and sorrow give her:

and shall see no sorrow.
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.
