For sin, taking occasion by the commandment,
deceived me, and by it slew me. – Romans 7:11

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “occasion”.

Genesis 43:18 And the men were afraid,
because they were brought into Joseph’s house; and they said,
Because of the money that was returned in our sacks
at the first time are we brought in;
that he may seek occasion against us,
and fall upon us,
and take us for bondmen,
and our asses.

Deuteronomy 22:14 And give occasions of speech against her,
and bring up an evil name upon her,
and say, I took this woman,
and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:

Deuteronomy 22:17 And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her,
saying, I found not thy daughter a maid;
and yet these are the tokens of my daughter’s virginity.
And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.

Judges 9:33 And it shall be, that in the morning,
