and the smell of thy nose like apples;

and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits,
new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my beloved.

that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink;
and instead of a girdle a rent;

and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth;
and burning instead of beauty.

Daniel 3:27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors,
being gathered together, saw these men,
upon whose bodies the fire had no power,

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “loss”.

Genesis 31:39 That which was torn of beasts I brought not unto thee;
I bare the loss of it;
of my hand didst thou require it,
whether stolen by day, or stolen by night.

Exodus 21:19 If he rise again,
and walk abroad upon his staff,
then shall he that smote him be quit:
only he shall pay for the loss of his time,
and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed.

Isaiah 47:8 Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures,
that dwellest carelessly,
that sayest in thine heart, I am,
and none else beside me;
I shall not sit as a widow,
neither shall I know the loss of children:

Isaiah 47:9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day,
the loss of children, and widowhood:
they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries,
and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.

Acts 27:21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them,
and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me,
and not have loosed from Crete,
and to have gained this harm and loss.

Acts 27:22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer:
for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you,
but of the ship.

1 Corinthians 3:15 If any man’s work shall be burned,
he shall suffer loss:
but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Philippians 3:7 But what things were gain to me,
those I counted loss for Christ.

Philippians 3:8 Yea doubtless,
and I count all things but loss
for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:
for whom I have suffered the loss of all things,
and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
