I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “wives”.

Ezr 10:2 And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel,
one of the sons of Elam,
answered and said unto Ezra,
We have trespassed against our God,
and have taken strange wives of the people of the land:
yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing.

Ezr 10:3 Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God
to put away all the wives,
and such as are born of them,
according to the counsel of my lord,
and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God;
and let it be done according to the law.

Ezr 10:10 And Ezra the priest stood up,
and said unto them, Ye have transgressed,
and have taken strange wives,
to increase the trespass of Israel.

Ezr 10:11 Now therefore make confession
unto the LORD God of your fathers,
and do his pleasure:
and separate yourselves from the people of the land,
and from the strange wives.

Ezr 10:14 Let now our rulers of all the congregation stand,
and let all them which have taken strange wives
in our cities come at appointed times,
and with them the elders of every city,
and the judges thereof,
until the fierce wrath of our God
for this matter be turned from us.

Ezr 10:17 And they made an end with all the men
that had taken strange wives
by the first day of the first month.

Ezr 10:18 And among the sons of the priests
there were found that had taken strange wives:
namely, of the sons of Jeshua the son of Jozadak,
and his brethren; Maaseiah,
and Eliezer,
and Jarib,
and Gedaliah.

Ezr 10:19 And they gave their hands
that they would put away their wives;
and being guilty,
they offered a ram of the flock for their trespass.

Ezr 10:44 All these had taken strange wives:
and some of them had wives
by whom they had children.

Neh 4:14 And I looked,
and rose up,
and said unto the nobles,
and to the rulers,
and to the rest of the people,
Be not ye afraid of them:
remember the Lord, which is great and terrible,
and fight for your brethren, your sons,
and your daughters, your wives,
and your houses.

Neh 5:1 And there was a great cry of the people
and of their wives against their brethren the Jews.

Neh 10:28 And the rest of the people,
the priests, the Levites, the porters,
the singers, the Nethinims,
and all they that had separated themselves
from the people of the lands unto the law of God,
their wives, their sons, and their daughters,
every one having knowledge,
and having understanding;

Neh 12:43 Also that day they offered great sacrifices,
and rejoiced:
for God had made them rejoice with great joy:
the wives also and the children rejoiced:
so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.

Neh 13:23 In those days also saw I Jews
that had married wives of Ashdod, of Ammon,
and of Moab:

Neh 13:27 Shall we then hearken unto you
to do all this great evil,
to transgress against our God
in marrying strange wives?

Est 1:20 And when the king’s decree
which he shall make shall be published throughout all his empire,
(for it is great,)
all the wives shall give to their husbands honour,
both to great and small.

Isa 13:16 Their children also shall be
dashed to pieces before their eyes;
their houses shall be spoiled,
and their wives ravished.

Jer 6:12 And their houses shall be turned unto others,
with their fields and wives together:
for I will stretch out my hand upon
the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD.

Jer 8:10 Therefore will I give their wives unto others,
and their fields to them that shall inherit them:
for every one from the least even
unto the greatest is given to covetousness,
from the prophet even
unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.

Jer 14:16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out
in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword;
and they shall have none to bury them,
them, their wives,
nor their sons,
nor their daughters:
for I will pour their wickedness upon them.

Jer 18:21 Therefore deliver up their children to the famine,
and pour out their blood by the force of the sword;
and let their wives be bereaved of their children,
and be widows;
and let their men be put to death;
let their young men be slain by the sword in battle.

Jer 29:6 Take ye wives,
and beget sons and daughters;
and take wives for your sons,
and give your daughters to husbands,
that they may bear sons and daughters;
that ye may be increased there,
and not diminished.

Jer 29:23 Because they have committed villany in Israel,
and have committed adultery with their neighbours’ wives,
and have spoken lying words in my name,
which I have not commanded them; even I know,
and am a witness, saith the LORD.

Jer 35:8 Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab
the son of Rechab our father in all that he hath charged us,
to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives,
our sons, nor our daughters;

Jer 38:23 So they shall bring out all thy wives
and thy children to the Chaldeans:
and thou shalt not escape out of their hand,
but shalt be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon:
and thou shalt cause this city to be burned with fire.

Jer 44:9 Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers,
and the wickedness of the kings of Judah,
and the wickedness of their wives,
and your own wickedness,
and the wickedness of your wives,
which they have committed in the land of Judah,
and in the streets of Jerusalem?

Jer 44:15 Then all the men which knew that
their wives had burned incense unto other gods,
and all the women that stood by, a great multitude,
even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt,
in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,

Jer 44:25 Thus saith the LORD of hosts,
the God of Israel, saying;
Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths,
and fulfilled with your hand, saying,
We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed,
to burn incense to the queen of heaven,
and to pour out drink offerings unto her:
ye will surely accomplish your vows,
and surely perform your vows.

Eze 44:22 Neither shall they take for their wives a widow,
nor her that is put away:
but they shall take maidens of the seed of the house of Israel,
or a widow that had a priest before.

Dan 5:2 Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine,
commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels
which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple
which was in Jerusalem;
that the king,
and his princes, his wives,
and his concubines, might drink therein.

Dan 5:3 Then they brought the golden vessels
that were taken out of the temple of the house of God
which was at Jerusalem;
and the king,
and his princes, his wives,
and his concubines, drank in them.

Dan 5:23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven;
and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee,
and thou,
and thy lords, thy wives,
and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them;
and thou hast praised the gods of silver,
and gold, of brass, iron, wood,
and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know:
and the God in whose hand thy breath is,
and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

Dan 6:24 And the king commanded,
and they brought those men which had accused Daniel,
and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children,
and their wives;
and the lions had the mastery of them,
and brake all their bones in pieces
or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

and their wives apart;
