For even when we were with you, this we commanded you,

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “we commanded”.

1Th 4:10. And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren
which are in all Macedonia:
but we beseech you, brethren,
that ye increase more and more;

1Th 4:11 And that ye study to be quiet,
and to do your own business,
and to work with your own hands,
as we commanded you;

12. That ye may walk honestly
toward them that are without,
and that ye may have lack of nothing.

2Th 3:9. Not because we have not power,
but to make ourselves an ensample
unto you to follow us.

2Th 3:10 For even when we were with you,
this we commanded you,
that if any would not work,
neither should he eat.

11. For we hear that there are some
which walk among you disorderly,
working not at all, but are busybodies.
