Therefore I hated life;
because the work that is wrought
under the sun is grievous unto me:
for all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
– Ecclesiastes 2:17

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “vexation”
Deuteronomy 28:20 The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke,
in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do,
until thou be destroyed,
and until thou perish quickly;
because of the wickedness of thy doings,
whereby thou hast forsaken me.
2 Chronicles 15:5 And in those times there was no peace to him that went out,
nor to him that came in,
but great vexations were upon
all the inhabitants of the countries.
Ecclesiastes 1:14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun;
and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
Ecclesiastes 1:17 And I gave my heart to know wisdom,
and to know madness and folly:
I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit.
Ecclesiastes 2:11 Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought,
and on the labour that I had laboured to do:
and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit,
and there was no profit under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 2:17 Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought
under the sun is grievous unto me:
for all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
Ecclesiastes 2:22 For what hath man of all his labour,
and of the vexation of his heart,
wherein he hath laboured under the sun?
Ecclesiastes 2:26 For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom,
and knowledge, and joy:
but to the sinner he giveth travail,
to gather and to heap up,
that he may give to him that is good before God.
This also is vanity and vexation of spirit.
Ecclesiastes 4:4 Again, I considered all travail, and every right work,
that for this a man is envied of his neighbour.
This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
Ecclesiastes 4:6 Better is an handful with quietness,
than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit.
Ecclesiastes 4:16 There is no end of all the people,
even of all that have been before them:
they also that come after shall not rejoice in him.
Surely this also is vanity and vexation of spirit.
Ecclesiastes 6:9 Better is the sight of the eyes
than the wandering of the desire:
this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
Isaiah 9:1 Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation,
when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun
and the land of Naphtali,
and afterward did more grievously afflict her
by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
Isaiah 28:19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you:
for morning by morning shall it pass over,
by day and by night:
and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
Isaiah 65:14 Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart,
but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart,
and shall howl for vexation of spirit.
