For what knowest thou,
O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband?
or how knowest thou,
O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife? – 1Co 7:16

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “thy wife”.
Gen 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened
unto the voice of thy wife,
and hast eaten of the tree,
of which I commanded thee, saying,
Thou shalt not eat of it:
cursed is the ground for thy sake;
in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Gen 6:18 But with thee will I establish my covenant;
and thou shalt come into the ark, thou,
and thy sons,
and thy wife,
and thy sons’ wives with thee.
Gen 8:16 Go forth of the ark, thou,
and thy wife,
and thy sons,
and thy sons’ wives with thee.
Gen 12:18 And Pharaoh called Abram, and said,
What is this that thou hast done unto me?
why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife?
Gen 12:19 Why saidst thou, She is my sister?
so I might have taken her to me to wife:
now therefore behold thy wife, take her,
and go thy way.
Gen 17:15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife,
thou shalt not call her name Sarai,
but Sarah shall her name be.
Gen 17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed;
and thou shalt call his name Isaac:
and I will establish my covenant with him
for an everlasting covenant,
and with his seed after him.
Gen 18:9 And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife?
And he said, Behold, in the tent.
Gen 18:10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee
according to the time of life;
and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.
And Sarah heard it in the tent door,
which was behind him.
Gen 19:15 And when the morning arose,
then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife,
and thy two daughters, which are here;
lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
Gen 26:9 And Abimelech called Isaac,
and said, Behold, of a surety she is thy wife:
and how saidst thou, She is my sister?
And Isaac said unto him, Because I said, Lest I die for her.
Gen 26:10 And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done unto us?
one of the people might lightly have lien with thy wife,
and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness upon us.
Exo 18:6 And he said unto Moses, I thy father in law
Jethro am come unto thee,
and thy wife, and her two sons with her.
Deu 21:11 And seest among the captives a beautiful woman,
and hast a desire unto her,
that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;
Deu 21:13 And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her,
and shall remain in thine house,
and bewail her father and her mother a full month:
and after that thou shalt go in unto her,
and be her husband,
and she shall be thy wife.
2Sa 12:9 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD,
to do evil in his sight?
thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword,
and hast taken his wife to be thy wife,
and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
2Sa 12:10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house;
because thou hast despised me,
and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.
Psa 128:3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine
by the sides of thine house:
thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
Amo 7:17 Therefore thus saith the LORD;
Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city,
and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword,
and thy land shall be divided by line;
and thou shalt die in a polluted land:
and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.
Mat 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold,
the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying,
Joseph, thou son of David,
fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife:
for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
Luk 1:13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias:
for thy prayer is heard;
and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son,
and thou shalt call his name John.
1Co 7:16 For what knowest thou,
O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband?
or how knowest thou,
O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
