I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “thorn”.

Pro 26:9 As a thorn goeth up into the hand of a drunkard,
so is a parable in the mouth of fools.

Isa 55:13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree,
and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree:
and it shall be to the LORD for a name,
for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

Eze 28:24 And there shall be no more a pricking brier
unto the house of Israel,
nor any grieving thorn of all
that are round about them,
that despised them;
and they shall know that
I am the Lord GOD.

Hos 10:8 The high places also of Aven,
the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed:
the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars;
and they shall say to the mountains,
Cover us;
and to the hills,
Fall on us.
