I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “dead..” from the Gospels.

Matthew 2:19   But when Herod was dead, behold,
an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

Matthew 2:20   Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother,
and go into the land of Israel:
for they are dead which sought the young child’s life.

Matthew 8:22   But Jesus said unto him, Follow me;
and let the dead bury their dead.

Matthew 9:18   While he spake these things unto them, behold,
there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him,
saying, My daughter is even now dead:

but that they might see Lazarus also,

John 12:17   The people therefore that was with him
when he called Lazarus out of his grave,
and raised him from the dead, bare record.

John 19:33   But when they came to Jesus,
and saw that he was dead already,
they brake not his legs:

John 20:9   For as yet they knew not the scripture,
that he must rise again from the dead.

John 21:14   This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples,
after that he was risen from the dead.
