I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “Tarsus”.

Act 9:11 And the Lord said unto him,
Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight,
and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus:
for, behold, he prayeth,

Act 9:30 Which when the brethren knew,
they brought him down to Caesarea,
and sent him forth to Tarsus.

Act 11:25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus,
for to seek Saul:

Act 21:39 But Paul said, I am a man
which am a Jew of Tarsus,
a city in Cilicia,
a citizen of no mean city:
and, I beseech thee,
suffer me to speak unto the people.

Act 22:3 I am verily a man which am a Jew,
born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia,
yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel,
and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers,
and was zealous toward God,
as ye all are this day.

Wiki information on Tarsus

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarsus,_Mersin….

With a history going back over 6,000 years, Tarsus has long been an important stop for traders and a focal point of many civilisations. During the Roman Empire, Tarsus was the capital of the province of Cilicia, the scene of the first meeting between Mark Antony and Cleopatra, and the birthplace of Paul the Apostle.
