The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil:
so do stripes the inward parts of the belly. –Proverbs 20:30

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “stripes”.
Deuteronomy 25:3 Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed:
lest, if he should exceed,
and beat him above these with many stripes,
then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.
2 Samuel 7:14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son.
If he commit iniquity,
I will chasten him with the rod of men,
and with the stripes of the children of men:
Psalms 89:32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod,
and their iniquity with stripes.
Proverbs 17:10 A reproof entereth more into a wise man
than an hundred stripes into a fool.
Proverbs 19:29 Judgments are prepared for scorners,
and stripes for the back of fools.
Proverbs 20:30 The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil:
so do stripes the inward parts of the belly.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.
Luke 12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will,
and prepared not himself,
neither did according to his will,
shall be beaten with many stripes.
Luke 12:48 But he that knew not,
and did commit things worthy of stripes,
shall be beaten with few stripes.
For unto whomsoever much is given,
of him shall be much required:
and to whom men have committed much,
of him they will ask the more.
Acts 16:23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them,
they cast them into prison,
charging the jailor to keep them safely:
Acts 16:33 And he took them the same hour of the night,
and washed their stripes;
and was baptized,
he and all his, straightway.
2 Corinthians 6:5 In stripes,
in imprisonments,
in tumults,
in labours,
in watchings,
in fastings;
2 Corinthians 11:23 Are they ministers of Christ?
(I speak as a fool) I am more;
in labours more abundant,
in stripes above measure,
in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.
2 Corinthians 11:24 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree,
that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:
by whose stripes ye were healed.
