Because with lies ye have made
the heart of the righteous sad,
whom I have not made sad;
and strengthened the hands of the wicked,
that he should not return from his wicked way,
by promising him life: – Ezekiel 13:22

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “Sad”.
Genesis 40:6 And Joseph came in unto them in the morning,
and looked upon them,
and, behold, they were sad.
Genesis 40:7 And he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with him
in the ward of his lord’s house, saying,
Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?
1 Samuel 1:18 And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight.
So the woman went her way,
and did eat,
and her countenance was no more sad.
1 Kings 21:5 But Jezebel his wife came to him,
and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad,
that thou eatest no bread?
Nehemiah 2:1 And it came to pass in the month Nisan,
in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king,
that wine was before him: and I took up the wine,
and gave it unto the king.
Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence.
Nehemiah 2:2 Wherefore the king said unto me,
Why is thy countenance sad,
seeing thou art not sick?
this is nothing else but sorrow of heart.
Then I was very sore afraid,
Nehemiah 2:3 And said unto the king,
Let the king live for ever:
why should not my countenance be sad, when the city,
the place of my fathers’ sepulchres,
lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire?
Ecclesiastes 7:3 Sorrow is better than laughter:
for by the sadness of the countenance
the heart is made better.
Ezekiel 13:22 Because with lies ye have made
the heart of the righteous sad,
whom I have not made sad;
and strengthened the hands of the wicked,
that he should not return from his wicked way,
by promising him life:
Matthew 6:16 Moreover when ye fast, be not,
as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance:
for they disfigure their faces,
that they may appear unto men to fast.
Verily I say unto you,
They have their reward.
Mark 10:22 And he was sad at that saying,
and went away grieved:
for he had great possessions.
Luke 24:17 And he said unto them,
What manner of communications are these
that ye have one to another,
as ye walk, and are sad?
