‘rock’….. mentioned in the New Testament (KJV)

The background rock is huge-one solid rock and is located near Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India, This rock is called “Aanai Malai” (Elephant Rock – because of its shape). Agricultural college, Madurai is located at the base of this rock.

And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence,
even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient:
whereunto also they were appointed. – 1 Peter 2:8

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “rock”.

Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them,
I will liken him unto a wise man,
which built his house upon a rock:

Matthew 7:25 And the rain descended,
and the floods came,
and the winds blew,
and beat upon that house;
and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
