I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “roast”.

Exo 12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night,
roast with fire,
and unleavened bread;
and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

Exo 12:9 Eat not of it raw,
nor sodden at all with water,
but roast with fire;
his head with his legs,
and with the purtenance thereof.

Deu 16:7 And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place
which the LORD thy God shall choose:
and thou shalt turn in the morning,
and go unto thy tents.

1Sa 2:15 Also before they burnt the fat,
the priest’s servant came,
and said to the man that sacrificed,
Give flesh to roast for the priest;
for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw.

2Ch 35:13 And they roasted the passover with fire
according to the ordinance:
but the other holy offerings sod they in pots,
and in caldrons,
and in pans,
and divided them speedily among all the people.

Pro 12:27 The slothful man roasteth not that
which he took in hunting:
but the substance of a diligent man is precious.

Isa 44:16 He burneth part thereof in the fire;
with part thereof he eateth flesh;
he roasteth roast,
and is satisfied:
yea, he warmeth himself,
and saith, Aha, I am warm,
I have seen the fire:

Isa 44:19 And none considereth in his heart,
neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say,
I have burned part of it in the fire;
yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof;
I have roasted flesh, and eaten it:
and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination?
shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?

Jer 29:22 And of them shall be taken up a curse
by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon,
saying, The LORD make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab,
whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;
