I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “return”.

Jos 1:15 Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you,
and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them:
then ye shall return unto the land of your possession,
and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD’S servant
gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.

and came unto the mountain,
and abode there three days,
until the pursuers were returned:
and the pursuers sought them throughout all the way,
but found them not.

Jos 2:23 So the two men returned,
and descended from the mountain,
and passed over,
and came to Joshua the son of Nun,
and told him all things that befell them:

Jos 4:18 And it came to pass, when the priests that bare
the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up
out of the midst of Jordan,
and the soles of the priests’ feet were lifted up
unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place,
and flowed over all his banks, as they did before.

Jos 6:14 And the second day they compassed the city once,
and returned into the camp: so they did six days.

and said unto him, Let not all the people go up;
but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai;
and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few.

Jos 8:24 And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end of slaying
all the inhabitants of Ai in the field,

and smote it with the edge of the sword.

until he stand before the congregation for judgment,
and until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days:
then shall the slayer return,
and come unto his own city,
and unto his own house, unto the city from whence he fled.

Jos 22:4 And now the LORD your God hath given rest unto your brethren,

divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.

Jos 22:9 And the children of Reuben and the children of Gad
and the half tribe of Manasseh returned,

send it not empty;

1Sa 6:4 Then said they, What shall be the trespass offering

according to the number of the lords of the Philistines:
for one plague was on you all,
and on your lords.

1Sa 6:8 And take the ark of the LORD,

1Sa 29:4 And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him;
and the princes of the Philistines said unto him,
Make this fellow return,
that he may go again to his place

lest in the battle he be an adversary to us:

that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.

2Sa 6:20 Then David returned to bless his household.

So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem.

return into the city in peace,
and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz thy son,
and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.

2Sa 15:34 But if thou return to the city,

now advise, and see
what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
