I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “recompense”.
Num 5:7 Then they shall confess their sin which they have done:
and he shall recompense his trespass
with the principal thereof,
and add unto it the fifth part thereof,
and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.
Num 5:8 But if the man have no kinsman
to recompense the trespass unto,
let the trespass be recompensed unto the LORD,
even to the priest;
beside the ram of the atonement,
whereby an atonement shall be made for him.
Rth 2:12 The LORD recompense thy work,
and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel,
under whose wings thou art come to trust.
2Sa 19:36 Thy servant will go a little way
over Jordan with the king:
and why should the king
recompense it me with such a reward?
