I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “prison” from the Gospels.

Matthew 4:12 Now when Jesus had heard that
John was cast into prison,
he departed into Galilee;

Matthew 5:25 Agree with thine adversary quickly,
whiles thou art in the way with him;
lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge,
and the judge deliver thee to the officer,
and thou be cast into prison.

Matthew 11:2 Now when John had heard
in the prison the works of Christ,
he sent two of his disciples,

Matthew 14:3 For Herod had laid hold on John,
and bound him,
and put him in prison for Herodias’ sake,
his brother Philip’s wife.

Matthew 14:10 And he sent,
and beheaded John in the prison.

Matthew 18:30 And he would not:
but went and cast him into prison,
till he should pay the debt.

Matthew 25:36 Naked,
and ye clothed me: I was sick,
and ye visited me: I was in prison,
and ye came unto me.

Matthew 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison,
and came unto thee?

Matthew 25:43 I was a stranger,
and ye took me not in: naked,
and ye clothed me not: sick,
and in prison,
and ye visited me not.

Matthew 25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying,
Lord, when saw we thee an hungred,
or athirst,
or a stranger,
or naked,
or sick,
or in prison,
and did not minister unto thee?

Matthew 27:15 Now at that feast the governor was
wont to release unto the people a prisoner,
whom they would.

Matthew 27:16 And they had then a notable prisoner,
called Barabbas.

Mark 1:14 Now after that John was put in prison,
Jesus came into Galilee,
preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Mark 6:17 For Herod himself had sent forth and laid hold upon John,
and bound him in prison for Herodias’ sake,
his brother Philip’s wife:
for he had married her.

Mark 6:27 And immediately the king sent an executioner,
and commanded his head to be brought:
and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

Mark 15:6 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner,
whomsoever they desired.

Luke 3:20 Added yet this above all,
that he shut up John in prison.

Luke 12:58 When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate,
as thou art in the way,
give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him;
lest he hale thee to the judge,
and the judge deliver thee to the officer,
and the officer cast thee into prison.

Luke 21:12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you,
and persecute you,
delivering you up to the synagogues,
and into prisons,
being brought before kings and rulers
for my name’s sake.

Luke 22:33 And he said unto him, Lord,
I am ready to go with thee,
both into prison,
and to death.

Luke 23:19 (Who for a certain sedition made in the city,
and for murder, was cast into prison.)

Luke 23:25 And he released unto them him that
for sedition and murder was cast into prison,
whom they had desired;
but he delivered Jesus to their will.

John 3:24 For John was not yet cast into prison.
