I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “platter”.

Mat 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!
for ye make clean
the outside of the cup and of the platter,
but within they are full of
extortion and excess.

Mat 23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that
which is within the cup and platter,
that the outside of them may be clean also.
27. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!
for ye are like unto whited sepulchres,
which indeed appear beautiful outward,
but are within full of dead men’s bones,
and of all uncleanness.

Luk 11:39 And the Lord said unto him,
Now do ye Pharisees make clean
the outside of the cup and the platter;
but your inward part is full of
ravening and wickedness.
