I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “openly”.
Genesis 38:21 Then he asked the men of that place, saying,
Where is the harlot, that was openly by the way side?
And they said, There was no harlot in this place.
Psalms 98:2 The LORD hath made known his salvation:
his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
Matthew 6:4 That thine alms may be in secret:
and thy Father which seeth in secret himself
shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet,
and when thou hast shut thy door,
pray to thy Father which is in secret;
and thy Father which seeth in secret
shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:18 That thou appear not unto men to fast,
but unto thy Father which is in secret:
and thy Father, which seeth in secret,
shall reward thee openly.
Mark 1:45 But he went out, and began to publish it much,
and to blaze abroad the matter,
insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city,
but was without in desert places:
and they came to him from every quarter.
Mark 8:32 And he spake that saying openly.
And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
John 7:4 For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret,
and he himself seeketh to be known openly.
If thou do these things,
shew thyself to the world.
John 7:10 But when his brethren were gone up,
then went he also up unto the feast,
not openly,
but as it were in secret.
John 7:13 Howbeit no man spake openly of him
for fear of the Jews.
John 11:54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews;
but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness,
into a city called Ephraim,
and there continued with his disciples.
John 18:20 Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world;
I ever taught in the synagogue,
and in the temple,
whither the Jews always resort;
and in secret have I said nothing.
Acts 10:40 Him God raised up the third day,
and shewed him openly;
Acts 16:37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned,
being Romans, and have cast us into prison;
and now do they thrust us out privily?
nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.
Colossians 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers,
he made a shew of them openly,
triumphing over them in it.
