O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,
thou that killest the prophets,
and stonest them which are sent unto thee,
how often would I have gathered thy children together,
even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings,
and ye would not! – Mat 23:37

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “O Jerusalem”.
Psa 116:19 In the courts of the LORD’S house,
in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem.
Praise ye the LORD.
Psa 122:2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates,
O Jerusalem.
Psa 137:5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem,
let my right hand forget her cunning.
Psa 147:12 Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem;
praise thy God, O Zion.
Isa 40:9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings,
get thee up into the high mountain;
O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings,
lift up thy voice with strength;
lift it up, be not afraid;
say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!
Isa 51:17 Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem,
which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury;
thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling,
and wrung them out.
Isa 52:1 Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion;
put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city:
for henceforth there shall no more come into thee
the uncircumcised and the unclean.
Isa 52:2 Shake thyself from the dust;
arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem:
loose thyself from the bands of thy neck,
O captive daughter of Zion.
Isa 62:6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem,
which shall never hold their peace day nor night:
ye that make mention of the LORD,
keep not silence,
7. And give him no rest,
till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem
a praise in the earth.
Jer 4:14 O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness,
that thou mayest be saved.
How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?
Jer 6:8 Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem,
lest my soul depart from thee;
lest I make thee desolate,
a land not inhabited.
Jer 7:29 Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem,
and cast it away,
and take up a lamentation on high places;
for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken
the generation of his wrath.
Jer 13:27 I have seen thine adulteries,
and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom,
and thine abominations on the hills in the fields.
Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem!
wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be?
Jer 15:5 For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem?
or who shall bemoan thee?
or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest?
Mat 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,
thou that killest the prophets,
and stonest them which are sent unto thee,
how often would I have gathered thy children together,
even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings,
and ye would not!
Luk 13:34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,
which killest the prophets,
and stonest them that are sent unto thee;
how often would I have gathered thy children together,
as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings,
and ye would not!
