What ‘is better than’ What?

‘is better than’ mentioned 22 Times only in Old Testament.. I have chosen the following for behavioral context . .
“And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to ‘obey is better than’ sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.” 1 Samuel 15:22 KJV
“And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that ‘is better than thou’.” 1 Samuel 15:28 KJV
“If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.” Esther 1:19 KJV
“A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.” Psalms 37:16 KJV
“Because thy ‘lovingkindness is better than life’, my lips shall praise thee.” Psalms 63:3 KJV
“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Psalms 84:10 KJV
“The desire of a man is his kindness: and a ‘poor man is better than a liar’.” Proverbs 19:22 KJV
“Open rebuke is better than secret love.” Proverbs 27:5 KJV
**needless to explain the above words, it is given in a simple manner. One is better than the other. One’ is qualified , the other is disqualified. Good is always considered for the good and the best but His son Jesus considered the sinner and so God sent His only begotten son to save us all.
For the self justified behaviour of Saul the First King of Israel was rejected. Very first mission he failed. The leader put the blame on his people as Adam did. He repented but couldn’t save himself from his son as Judas also repented but condemned.
Old Testament comprises the history of many people, but The New Testament is the history of one person ‘Jesus’. The bad person is condemned in both the Testaments but the good person is regarded and rewarded by the mouth of Jesus himself.
After seeing the condemnation father’s and mother advised their children through Proverbs and Ecclesiastical ways to fear God which is Wisdom.
Let us pray to God to give wisdom to the grown children with children as well as the growing children. If we don’t, we shall see their perishing by our own eyes… So the Proverbs says in 13:24 “He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.”. . and.. 22:15, 29:15.
And Jesus also emphasized in Matthew 5:30. So we pray for our grown and married children too. Shalom, Peace 🕊️
