Beware from The Bible

“Obey them that have the rule over you,
and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls,
as they that must give account,
that they may do it with joy, and not with grief:
for that is unprofitable for you. ”
– Heb: 13:17

I am no preacher, but, am a sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, while reading Bible, the following verses were given in the context of “Beware” from The Holy Bible-KJV.

Beware – in New Testament

Mt 7:15 Beware of false prophets,
which come to you in sheep’s clothing,
but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Mt 10:17 But beware of men:
for they will deliver you up to the councils,
and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

18. And ye shall be brought before governors
and kings for my sake,
for a testimony against them
and the Gentiles.

Mt 16:6 Then Jesus said unto them,
Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Mt 16:11 How is it that ye do not understand
that I spake it not to you concerning bread,
that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

Mt 16:12 Then understood they how that he bade them not
beware of the leaven of bread,
but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Mk 8:15 And he charged them, saying, Take heed,
beware of the leaven of the Pharisees,
and of the leaven of Herod.

which love to go in long clothing,

Lk 12:1 In the mean time,
when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people,

Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees,
which is hypocrisy.

Lk 12:15 And he said unto them, Take heed,
and beware of covetousness:
for a man’s life consisteth not
in the abundance of the things
which he possesseth.

Lk 20:46 Beware of the scribes,
which desire to walk in long robes,
and love greetings in the markets,
and the highest seats in the synagogues,
and the chief rooms at feasts;

47. Which devour widows’ houses,
and for a shew make long prayers:
the same shall receive greater damnation.

Acts 13:40 Beware therefore,
lest that come upon you,
which is spoken of in the prophets;

41. Behold, ye despisers,
and wonder,
and perish: for I work a work in your days,
a work which ye shall in no wise believe,
though a man declare it unto you.

Phil 3:2 Beware of dogs,
Beware of evil workers,
Beware of the concision.

Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you
through philosophy and vain deceit,
after the tradition of men,
after the rudiments of the world,
and not after Christ.

2 Pet 3:17 Ye therefore, beloved,
seeing ye know these things before,
beware lest ye also,
being led away with the error of the wicked,
fall from your own stedfastness.

Beware – in Old Testament

Gen 24:6 And Abraham said unto him,
Beware thou that
thou bring not my son thither again.

Ex 23:21 Beware of him, and obey his voice,
provoke him not;
for he will not pardon your transgressions:
for my name is in him.

Deut 6:12 Then beware lest thou forget the LORD,
which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt,
from the house of bondage.

Deut 8:11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God,
in not keeping his commandments,
and his judgments,
and his statutes,
which I command thee this day:

12. Lest when thou hast eaten and art full,
and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;
13. And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply,
and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied,
and all that thou hast is multiplied;
14. Then thine heart be lifted up,
and thou forget the LORD thy God,
which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt,

Deut 15:9 Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying,
The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand;
and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother,
and thou givest him nought;
and he cry unto the LORD against thee,
and it be sin unto thee.

Judg 13:4 Now therefore beware,
I pray thee,
and drink not wine nor strong drink,
and eat not any unclean thing:

5. For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son;
and no razor shall come on his head:
for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb:
and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

Judg 13:13 And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah,
Of all that I said unto the woman let her beware.

2 Sam 18:12 And the man said unto Joab,
Though I should receive a thousand shekels of silver in mine hand,

2 Kings 6:9 And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying,
Beware that thou pass not such a place;
for thither the Syrians are come down.

Job 36:18 Because there is wrath,
beware lest he take thee away with his stroke:
then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.

Prov 19:25 Smite a scorner,
and the simple will beware:
and reprove one that hath understanding,
and he will understand knowledge.

Is 36:18 Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying,
the LORD will deliver us.
Hath any of the gods of the nations
delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
