I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “Little” from the ‘Job’, Kings ‘David’ and ‘Solomon’, and from the ‘Preacher’ (KJV).
Job 4:12 Now a thing was secretly brought to me,
and mine ear received a little thereof.
Job 10:20 Are not my days few?
cease then, and let me alone,
that I may take comfort a little,
Job 21:11 They send forth their little ones like a flock,
and their children dance.
Job 24:24 They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low;
they are taken out of the way as all other,
and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
Job 26:14 Lo, these are parts of his ways:
but how little a portion is heard of him?
but the thunder of his power who can understand?
Job 36:2 Suffer me a little,
and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God’s behalf.
Psalms 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry,
and ye perish from the way,
when his wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Psalms 8:5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels,
and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
Psalms 37:10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be:
yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place,
and it shall not be.
Psalms 37:16 A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
Psalms 65:12 They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness:
and the little hills rejoice on every side.
Psalms 68:27 There is little Benjamin with their ruler,
the princes of Judah and their council,
the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.
Psalms 72:3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people,
and the little hills, by righteousness.
Psalms 114:4 The mountains skipped like rams,
and the little hills like lambs.
Psalms 114:6 Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams;
and ye little hills, like lambs?
Psalms 137:9 Happy shall he be, that taketh
and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
Proverbs 6:10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to sleep:
11. So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth,
and thy want as an armed man.
Proverbs 10:20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth.
Proverbs 15:16 Better is little with the fear of the LORD
than great treasure and trouble therewith.
Proverbs 16:8 Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues without right.
Proverbs 24:33 Yet a little sleep,
a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to sleep:
34. So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth;
and thy want as an armed man.
Proverbs 30:24 There be four things which are little upon the earth,
but they are exceeding wise:
25. The ants are a people not strong,
yet they prepare their meat in the summer;
26. The conies are but a feeble folk,
yet make they their houses in the rocks;
27. The locusts have no king,
yet go they forth all of them by bands;
28. The spider taketh hold with her hands,
and is in kings’ palaces.
Ecclesiastes 5:12 The sleep of a labouring man is sweet,
whether he eat little or much:
but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.
Ecclesiastes 9:14 There was a little city, and few men within it;
and there came a great king against it,
and besieged it,
and built great bulwarks against it:
15. Now there was found in it a poor wise man,
and he by his wisdom delivered the city;
yet no man remembered that same poor man.
16. Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength:
nevertheless the poor man’s wisdom is despised,
and his words are not heard.
Ecclesiastes 10:1 Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary
to send forth a stinking savour:
so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honour.
