I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “law and the prophets”.

Mat 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you,
do ye even so to them:
for this is the law and the prophets.

Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang
all the law and the prophets.

Luk 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John:
since that time the kingdom of God is preached,
and every man presseth into it.

Act 13:15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets
the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying,
Ye men and brethren,
if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
