I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “in the eyes of”.
Gen 6:8 But Noah found grace
in the eyes of the LORD.
Gen 41:37 And the thing was good
in the eyes of Pharaoh,
and in the eyes of all his servants.
Exo 5:21 And they said unto them,
The LORD look upon you,
and judge; because ye have made our savour
to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh,
and in the eyes of his servants,
to put a sword in their hand to slay us.
Exo 24:17 And the sight of the glory of the LORD
was like devouring fire
on the top of the mount
in the eyes of the children of Israel.
Num 20:12 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron,
Because ye believed me not,
to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel,
therefore ye shall not bring this congregation
into the land which I have given them.
Deu 13:18 When thou shalt hearken
to the voice of the LORD thy God,
to keep all his commandments
which I command thee this day,
to do that which is right
in the eyes of the LORD thy God.
1Sa 26:24 And, behold,
as thy life was much set by this day in mine eyes,
so let my life be much set by in the eyes of the LORD,
and let him deliver me out of all tribulation.
2Sa 6:20 Then David returned to bless his household.
And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David,
and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day,
who uncovered himself to day
in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants,
as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!
2Sa 15:25 And the king said unto Zadok,
Carry back the ark of God into the city:
if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD,
he will bring me again,
and shew me both it,
and his habitation:
1Ki 15:5 Because David did that
which was right in the eyes of the LORD,
and turned not aside from any thing
that he commanded him all the days of his life,
save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
1Ki 15:11 And Asa did that which was right
in the eyes of the LORD,
as did David his father.
1Ki 16:25 But Omri wrought evil
in the eyes of the LORD,
and did worse than all that were before him.
1Ki 22:43 And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father;
he turned not aside from it,
doing that which was right
in the eyes of the LORD:
nevertheless the high places were not taken away;
for the people offered and burnt incense
yet in the high places.
1Ch 13:4 And all the congregation said that they would do so:
for the thing was right
in the eyes of all the people.
2Ch 14:2 And Asa did that which was good and right
in the eyes of the LORD his God:
2Ch 21:6 And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel,
like as did the house of Ahab:
for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife:
and he wrought that which was evil
in the eyes of the LORD.
2Ch 29:6 For our fathers have trespassed,
and done that which was evil
in the eyes of the LORD our God,
and have forsaken him,
and have turned away their faces
from the habitation of the LORD,
and turned their backs.
Pro 17:8 A gift is as a precious stone
in the eyes of him that hath it:
whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth.
Isa 49:5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me
from the womb to be his servant,
to bring Jacob again to him,
Though Israel be not gathered,
yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD,
and my God shall be my strength.
Isa 52:10 The LORD hath made bare
his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations;
and all the ends of the earth shall see
the salvation of our God.
Jer 52:2 And he did that which was evil
in the eyes of the LORD,
according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
Eze 38:23 Thus will I magnify myself,
and sanctify myself;
and I will be known in the eyes of many nations,
and they shall know that I am the LORD.
Zec 8:6 Thus saith the LORD of hosts;
If it be marvellous
in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days,
should it also be marvellous in mine eyes?
saith the LORD of hosts.
