I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “Idolatry”.

1Sa 15:23 For rebellion  is as the sin of witchcraft,
and stubbornness  is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD,
he hath also rejected thee from  being king.

Act 17:16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens,
his spirit was stirred in him,
when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.

1Co 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved,
flee from idolatry.

Gal 5:20 Idolatry,
witchcraft,
hatred,
variance,
emulations,
wrath,
strife,
seditions,
heresies,

Col 3:5 Mortify therefore your members
which are upon the earth;
fornication,
uncleanness,
inordinate affection,
evil concupiscence,
and covetousness, which is idolatry:

3:6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God
cometh on the children of disobedience:
3:7 In the which ye also walked some time,
when ye lived in them.
3:8 But now ye also put off all these;
anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy,
filthy communication out of your mouth.
