I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “I will defend”.

2Ki 19:34 For I will defend this city,
to save it, for mine own sake,
and for my servant David’s sake.

2Ki 20:6 And I will add unto thy days fifteen years;
and I will deliver thee and this city
out of the hand of the king of Assyria;
and I will defend this city for mine own sake,
and for my servant David’s sake.

Isa 37:35 For I will defend this city

Isa 38:6 And I will deliver thee
