‘horrible’….. mentioned ONLY in the Old Testament (KJV)

I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing:
they commit adultery, and walk in lies:
they strengthen also the hands of evildoers,
that none doth return from his wickedness:
they are all of them unto me as Sodom,
and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah. – Jeremiah 23:14

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “horrible”.

Psalms 11:6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares,
fire and brimstone,
and an horrible tempest:
this shall be the portion of their cup.

Psalms 40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit,
out of the miry clay,
and set my feet upon a rock,
and established my goings.

Jeremiah 5:30 A wonderful and horrible thing
is committed in the land;

Jeremiah 18:13 Therefore thus saith the LORD;
Ask ye now among the heathen,
who hath heard such things:
the virgin of Israel hath done a very horrible thing.

Jeremiah 23:14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing:
