I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “Gross”.

Isa 60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
and gross darkness the people:
but the LORD shall arise upon thee,
and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

Jer 13:16 Give glory to the LORD your God,
before he cause darkness,
and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains,
and, while ye look for light,
he turn it into the shadow of death,
and make it gross darkness.

Mat 13:15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross,
and their ears are dull of hearing,
and their eyes they have closed;
lest at any time they should see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears,
and should understand with their heart,
and should be converted,
and I should heal them.
