I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “gospel preached”. 

Mat 11:5 The blind receive their sight,
and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed,
and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up,
and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Heb 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached,
as well as unto them:
but the word preached did not profit them,
not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

1Pe 4:6 For for this cause was
the gospel preached also to them that are dead,
that they might be judged according to men in the flesh,
but live according to God in the spirit.
