‘godly’ ….. mentioned in the Holy Bible (KJV)

The Lord knoweth
how to deliver the godly out of temptations,
and to reserve the unjust unto
the day of judgment to be punished: – 2Pe 2:9

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “godly”.

Psa 4:3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him
that is godly for himself:
the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

Psa 12:1 Help, LORD;
for the godly man ceaseth;
for the faithful fail
from among the children of men.

Psa 32:6 For this shall every one
that is godly pray unto thee
in a time when thou mayest be found:
surely in the floods of great waters
they shall not come nigh unto him.

Mal 2:15 And did not he make one?
Yet had he the residue of the spirit.
And wherefore one?
That he might seek a godly seed.
Therefore take heed to your spirit,
and let none deal treacherously
against the wife of his youth.

2Co 1:12 For our rejoicing is this,
the testimony of our conscience,
that in simplicity and godly sincerity,
not with fleshly wisdom,
but by the grace of God,
we have had our conversation in the world,
and more abundantly to you-ward.

2Co 7:9 Now I rejoice,
not that ye were made sorry,

2Co 11:2 For I am jealous over you
with godly jealousy:
for I have espoused you to one husband,
that I may present you
as a chaste virgin to Christ.

1Ti 1:4 Neither give heed to fables
and endless genealogies,
which minister questions,
rather than godly edifying which is in faith:
so do.

2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus
shall suffer persecution.

Tit 2:12 Teaching us that,
denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,
we should live soberly,
righteously,
and godly,
in this present world;

Heb 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom
which cannot be moved,
let us have grace,
whereby we may serve God acceptably
with reverence and godly fear:
