I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “forgave”.

Psa 32:5 I acknowledged my sin unto thee,
and mine iniquity have I not hid.
I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD;
and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

Psa 78:38 But he, being full of compassion,
forgave their iniquity,
and destroyed them not: yea,
many a time turned he his anger away,
and did not stir up all his wrath.

Psa 99:8 Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God:
thou wast a God that forgavest them,
though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

Mat 18:27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion,
and loosed him,
and forgave him the debt.

Mat 18:32 Then his lord, after that he had called him,
said unto him, O thou wicked servant,
I forgave thee all that debt,
because thou desiredst me:

Luk 7:42 And when they had nothing to pay,
he frankly forgave them both.
Tell me therefore,
which of them will love him most?

Luk 7:41. There was a certain creditor
which had two debtors:
the one owed five hundred pence,
and the other fifty.
42. And when they had nothing to pay,
he frankly forgave them both.
Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

Luk 7:43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he,
to whom he forgave most.
And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

2Co 2:10 To whom ye forgive any thing,
I forgive also:
for if I forgave any thing,
to whom I forgave it,
for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;

11. Lest Satan should get an advantage of us:
for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Col 3:12. Put on therefore,
as the elect of God,
holy and beloved,
bowels of mercies,
kindness,
humbleness of mind,
meekness,
longsuffering;

Col 3:13 Forbearing one another,
and forgiving one another,
if any man have a quarrel against any:
even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

shall receive for the wrong
which he hath done:
