I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “detain”.

Jdg 13:15 And Manoah said unto the angel of the LORD,
I pray thee, let us detain thee,
until we shall have made ready a kid for thee.

Jdg 13:16 And the angel of the LORD said unto Manoah,
Though thou detain me,
I will not eat of thy bread:
and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering,
thou must offer it unto the LORD.
For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the LORD.

1Sa 21:7 Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day,
detained before the LORD;
and his name was Doeg, an Edomite,
the chiefest of the herdmen that belonged to Saul.
