CounsellorThou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels.
Let now the astrologers,
the stargazers,
the monthly prognosticators,
stand up, and save thee from these things
that shall come upon thee. – Isaiah 47:13

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “counsel” from the prophets of the Old Testament (KJV).

Isaiah 1:26 And I will restore thy judges as at the first,
and thy counsellors as at the beginning:
afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.

Isaiah 3:3 The captain of fifty, and the honourable man,
and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.

Isaiah 5:19 That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work,
that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come,
that we may know it!

Isaiah 7:5 Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah,
have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,

Isaiah 8:10 Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought;
speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,

Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him,
the spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the spirit of counsel and might,
the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Isaiah 16:3 Take counsel, execute judgment;
make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday;
hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth.

Isaiah 19:3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof;
and I will destroy the counsel thereof:

and to the charmers,

Is wisdom no more in Teman?
is counsel perished from the prudent?
is their wisdom vanished?

Jeremiah 49:20 Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Edom;
and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman:
Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out:
surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them.

and hath conceived a purpose against you.

Daniel 3:27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king’s counsellors,
being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power,
nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed,
nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

Daniel 4:27 Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee,
and break off thy sins by righteousness,
and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor;
if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.

Daniel 4:36 At the same time my reason returned unto me;
and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me;

and I was established in my kingdom,
and excellent majesty was added unto me.

Daniel 6:7 All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors,
and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute,
and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God
or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

Hosea 4:12 My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them:
for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err,
and they have gone a whoring from under their God.

Hosea 10:6 It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb:
Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.

and shall consume his branches,

Micah 4:9 Now why dost thou cry out aloud?
is there no king in thee?
is thy counsellor perished?
for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.

Micah 4:12 But they know not the thoughts of the LORD,
neither understand they his counsel:
for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.

Micah 6:16 For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab,
and ye walk in their counsels;
that I should make thee a desolation,
and the inhabitants thereof an hissing:
therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people.

Nahum 1:11 There is one come out of thee,
that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor.

Zechariah 6:13 Even he shall build the temple of the LORD;
and he shall bear the glory,
and shall sit and rule upon his throne;
and he shall be a priest upon his throne:
and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
