I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “Correction”.

Job 37:13 He causeth it to come,
whether for correction,
or for his land, or for mercy.

Proverbs 3:11 My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD;
neither be weary of his correction:

Proverbs 7:22 He goeth after her straightway,
as an ox goeth to the slaughter,
or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;

Proverbs 15:10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way:
and he that hateth reproof shall die.

Proverbs 22:15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child;
but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

Proverbs 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child:
for if thou beatest him with the rod,
he shall not die.

Jeremiah 2:30 In vain have I smitten your children;
they received no correction:
your own sword hath devoured your prophets,
like a destroying lion.

Chasten the Son? (@#$!Daughter?) By Whom? Why?

“My son,
attend unto my wisdom,
and bow thine ear to my understanding:
That thou mayest regard discretion,
and  that thy lips may keep knowledge. ”

I am no preacher, but, am a sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” God gave me the following verses in the context of “Chasten” from the Book of Life (The Holy Bible-KJV).

Chastening 

Word Web Meaning  : 
A rebuke for making a mistake, restrain, censure severely, 
correct by punishment or discipline

Deu-8:5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart,
that, as a man chasteneth his son,
so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.

Deu-21:18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son,
which will not obey the voice of his father,
or the voice of his mother, and  that,
when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:

19. Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him,
and bring him out unto the elders of his city,
and unto the gate of his place;

This our son  is stubborn and rebellious,

Correction

I am no preacher, but, am a sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, while reading The Bible-kjv, God gave me the following words from the Book of Life (Bible).

“For verily I say unto you,
Till heaven and earth pass,
one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law,
till all be fulfilled.”  – Mat-5:18

Spare the Rod. . . . ./ Chasten . . . . ./Train. . . . /Beat

Proverbs: 13 : 24. He that spareth his rod hateth his son:
but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

Proverbs: 13 : 18. Chasten thy son while there is hope,
and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

Proverbs: 22 : 6. Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old,
he will not depart from it.

Proverbs: 23 :13. Withhold not correction from the child:
