I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “clean” from the ‘afflicted’ and the ‘wise’ (KJV).

Job 9:30 If I wash myself with snow water,
and make my hands never so clean;

Job 11:4 For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure,
and I am clean in thine eyes.

Job 14:4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.

Job 15:14 What is man, that he should be clean?
and he which is born of a woman,
that he should be righteous?

Job 15:15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints;
yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.
