I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “clapped”.

2Ki 11:12 And he brought forth the king’s son,
and put the crown upon him,
and gave him the testimony;
and they made him king,
and anointed him;
and they clapped their hands,
and said, God save the king.

the king stood by a pillar, as the manner  was,

and all the people of the land rejoiced,
and blew with trumpets:
and Athaliah rent her clothes,
and cried, Treason, Treason.

Because thou hast clapped thine hands,

7. Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee,
and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen;
and I will cut thee off from the people,
and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries:
I will destroy thee;
and thou shalt know that I  am the LORD.
