and a brother is born for adversity.

and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

in the day of thy calamity:
for better is a neighbour that is near
than a brother far off.

Ecc 4:8 There is one alone, and there is not a second;
yea, he hath neither child nor brother:

and bereave my soul of good?
This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.

Son 8:1 O that thou wert as my brother,
that sucked the breasts of my mother!
when I should find thee without, I would kiss thee;
yea, I should not be despised.

Isa 3:6 When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying,
Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler,
and let this ruin be under thy hand:

and kingdom against kingdom.

Jer 23:35 Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour,
and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered?
and, What hath the LORD spoken?

Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour,
and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD:
for they shall all know me,
from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD:
for I will forgive their iniquity,
and I will remember their sin no more.

Jer 34:9 That every man should let his manservant,

Jer 34:14 At the end of seven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew,
which hath been sold unto thee;
and when he hath served thee six years,
thou shalt let him go free from thee:
but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear.

Jer 34:17 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ye have not hearkened unto me,
in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother,
and every man to his neighbour:
behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD,

and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.

Eze 33:30 Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people

throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD:
every man’s sword shall be against his brother.

but for father, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter,
for brother, or for sister that hath had no husband,
they may defile themselves.

and by his strength he had power with God:

Amo 1:9 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus,
and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof;
because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom,
and remembered not the brotherly covenant:

Amo 1:11Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom,
and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof;
because he did pursue his brother with the sword,
and did cast off all pity,
and his anger did tear perpetually,
and he kept his wrath for ever:

Oba 1:10 For thy violence against thy brother Jacob
shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.

Oba 1:12 But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother

in the day of their destruction;
neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly
in the day of distress.

every one by the sword of his brother.

Zec 7:9 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment,
and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:

nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor;
and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV,  the following verses were given in the context of “Brother” from the “Acts” till “Revelation” (KJV).

Act 1:13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room,
where abode both Peter,
and James,
and John,
and Andrew, Philip,
and Thomas, Bartholomew,
and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus,
and Simon Zelotes,
and Judas the brother of James.

Act 9:17 And Ananias went his way,
and entered into the house;
and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus,
that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me,
that thou mightest receive thy sight,
and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

Act 12:2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.

Act 21:20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord,
and said unto him, Thou seest, brother,
how many thousands of Jews there are which believe;
and they are all zealous of the law:

Act 22:13 Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me,
Brother Saul, receive thy sight.
And the same hour I looked up upon him.

Rom 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love;
in honour preferring one another;

Rom 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother?
or why dost thou set at nought thy brother?
for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

Rom 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more:
but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock
or an occasion to fall in his brother‘s way.

Rom 14:15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat,
now walkest thou not charitably.
Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.

Rom 14:21 It is good neither to eat flesh,
nor to drink wine,
nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth,
or is offended, or is made weak.

Rom 16:23 Gaius mine host,
and of the whole church, saluteth you.
Erastus the chamberlain of the city saluteth you,
and Quartus a brother.

1Co 1:1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God,
and Sosthenes our brother,

1Co 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company,
if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator,
or covetous,
or an idolater,
or a railer,
or a drunkard,
or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

1Co 6:6 But brother goeth to law with brother,
and that before the unbelievers.

1Co 7:12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord:
If any brother hath a wife that believeth not,
and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

1Co 7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart.
A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases:
but God hath called us to peace.

1Co 8:11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish,
for whom Christ died?

1Co 8:13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend,
I will eat no flesh while the world standeth,
lest I make my brother to offend.

1Co 16:12 As touching our brother Apollos,
I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren:
but his will was not at all to come at this time;
but he will come when he shall have convenient time.

2Co 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,
and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth,
with all the saints which are in all Achaia:

2Co 2:13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother:
but taking my leave of them,
I went from thence into Macedonia.

2Co 8:18 And we have sent with him the brother,
whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches;

2Co 8:22 And we have sent with them our brother,
whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things,
but now much more diligent,
upon the great confidence which I have in you.

2Co 12:18 I desired Titus,
and with him I sent a brother.
Did Titus make a gain of you?
walked we not in the same spirit?
walked we not in the same steps?

Gal 1:19 But other of the apostles saw I none,
save James the Lord’s brother.

Eph 6:21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus,
a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord,
shall make known to you all things:

Phi 2:25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother,
and companion in labour,
and fellowsoldier, but your messenger,
and he that ministered to my wants.

Col 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,
and Timotheus our brother,

Col 4:7 All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you,
who is a beloved brother,
and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord:

Col 4:9 With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you.
They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.

1Th 3:2 And sent Timotheus, our brother,
and minister of God,
and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you,
and to comfort you concerning your faith:

1Th 4:6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter:
because that the Lord is the avenger of all such,
as we also have forewarned you and testified.

1Th 4:9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you:
for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

2Th 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that ye withdraw yourselves
from every brother that walketh disorderly,
and not after the tradition which he received of us.

2Th 3:15 Yet count him not as an enemy,
but admonish him as a brother.

Phm 1:1 Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ,
and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved,
and fellowlabourer,

Phm 1:7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love,
because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

Phm 1:16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant,
a brother beloved, specially to me,
but how much more unto thee,
both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

Phm 1:20 Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord:
refresh my bowels in the Lord.

Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour,
and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord:
for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

Heb 13:1 Let brotherly love continue.

Heb 13:23 Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty;
with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.

Jam 1:9 Let the brother of low degree
rejoice in that he is exalted:

Jam 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked,
and destitute of daily food,

16. And one of you say unto them,
Depart in peace,
be  ye warmed and filled;
notwithstanding ye give them not those things
which are needful to the body;
what  doth it profit?

Jam 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren.
He that speaketh evil of his brother,
and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law,
and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law,
thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

1Pe 2:17 Honour all men.
Love the brotherhood.
Fear God. Honour the king.

1Pe 5:12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose,
I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying
that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand.

2Pe 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness;
and to brotherly kindness charity.

2Pe 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation;
even as our beloved brother Paul also
according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

1Jo 2:9 He that saith he is in the light,
and hateth his brother,
is in darkness even until now.

1Jo 2:10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light,
and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

1Jo 2:11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness,
and walketh in darkness,
and knoweth not whither he goeth,
because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

1Jo 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest,
and the children of the devil:
whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,
neither he that loveth not his brother.

1Jo 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother.
And wherefore slew he him?
Because his own works were evil,
and his brother‘s righteous.

1Jo 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life,
because we love the brethren.
He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

1Jo 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer:
and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

1Jo 3:17 But whoso hath this world’s good,
and seeth his brother have need,
and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him,
how dwelleth the love of God in him?

1Jo 4:20 If a man say, I love God,
and hateth his brother, he is a liar:
for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen,
how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

1Jo 4:21 And this commandment have we from him,
That he who loveth God love his brother also.

1Jo 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin
which is not unto death, he shall ask,
and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death.
There is a sin unto death:
I do not say that he shall pray for it.

Jud 1:1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James,
to them that are sanctified by God the Father,
and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

Rev 1:9 I John, who also am your brother,
and companion in tribulation,
and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ,
was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God,
and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
