As the hart panteth
after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul
after thee, O God. – Psa 42:1

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “brooks”.
Num 21:14 Wherefore it is said
in the book of the wars of the LORD,
What he did in the Red sea,
and in the brooks of Arnon,
Num 21:15 And at the stream of the brooks
that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar,
and lieth upon the border of Moab.
Deu 8:7 For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land,
a land of brooks of water,
of fountains and depths
that spring out of valleys and hills;
2Sa 23:30 Benaiah the Pirathonite, Hiddai of the brooks of Gaash,
1Ki 18:5 And Ahab said unto Obadiah, Go into the land,
unto all fountains of water,
and unto all brooks:
peradventure we may find grass
to save the horses and mules alive,
that we lose not all the beasts.
1Ch 11:32 Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,
Job 6:15 My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook,
and as the stream of brooks they pass away;
Job 20:17 He shall not see the rivers,
the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.
Job 22:24 Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust,
and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
Psa 42:1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
Isa 19:6 And they shall turn the rivers far away;
and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up:
the reeds and flags shall wither.
Isa 19:7 The paper reeds by the brooks,
by the mouth of the brooks,
and every thing sown by the brooks,
shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.
Isa 19:8 The fishers also shall mourn,
and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament,
and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.
