I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “blood is”.

Gen 42:22 And Reuben answered them, saying,
Spake I not unto you, saying,
Do not sin against the child;
and ye would not hear?
therefore, behold, also his blood is required.
Lev 6:30 And no sin offering,
whereof any of the blood is brought into
the tabernacle of the congregation
to reconcile withal in the holy place,
shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.
Eze 24:7 For her blood is in the midst of her;
she set it upon the top of a rock;
she poured it not upon the ground,
to cover it with dust;
8. That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.
Joh 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed,
and my blood is drink indeed.
