I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “blessing and cursing”.
Deu 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you,
that I have set before you life and death,
blessing and cursing:
therefore choose life,
that both thou and thy seed may live:
20. That thou mayest love the LORD thy God,
and that thou mayest obey his voice,
and that thou mayest cleave unto him:
for he is thy life,
and the length of thy days:
that thou mayest dwell in the land
which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,
to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob,
to give them.
Jam 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth
blessing and cursing.
My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
11. Doth a fountain send forth
at the same place sweet water and bitter?
12. Can the fig tree, my brethren,
bear olive berries?
either a vine, figs?
so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
