I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “alter, altereth, altered”.
Lev 27:10 He shall not alter it,
nor change it,
a good for a bad,
or a bad for a good:
and if he shall at all change beast for beast,
then it and the exchange thereof shall be holy.
Ezr 6:11 Also I have made a decree,
that whosoever shall alter this word,
let timber be pulled down from his house,
and being set up, let him be hanged thereon;
and let his house be made a dunghill for this.
Ezr 6:12 And the God that hath caused his name
to dwell there destroy all kings and people,
that shall put to their hand to alter
and to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem.
I Darius have made a decree;
let it be done with speed.
Est 1:19 If it please the king,
let there go a royal commandment from him,
and let it be written among
the laws of the Persians and the Medes,
that it be not altered,
That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus;
and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.
Psa 89:34 My covenant will I not break,
nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
Dan 6:8 Now, O king, establish the decree,
and sign the writing,
that it be not changed,
according to the law of the Medes and Persians,
which altereth not.
Dan 6:12 Then they came near,
and spake before the king concerning the king’s decree;
Hast thou not signed a decree,
that every man that shall ask
a petition of any God or man within thirty days,
save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?
The king answered and said, The thing is true,
according to the law of the Medes and Persians,
which altereth not.
Luk 9:29 And as he prayed,
the fashion of his countenance was altered,
and his raiment was white and glistering.
