I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “according” from the Gospels.
Matthew 2:16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men,
was exceeding wroth,
and sent forth,
and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem,
and in all the coasts thereof,
from two years old and under,
according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.
Matthew 9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying,
According to your faith be it unto you.
Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels;
and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Matthew 25:15 And unto one he gave five talents,
to another two, and to another one;
to every man according to his several ability;
and straightway took his journey.
Mark 7:5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him,
Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders,
but eat bread with unwashen hands?
Luke 1:9 According to the custom of the priest’s office,
his lot was to burn incense
when he went into the temple of the Lord.
Luke 1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord;
be it unto me according to thy word.
And the angel departed from her.
Luke 2:22 And when the days of her purification
according to the law of Moses were accomplished,
they brought him to Jerusalem,
to present him to the Lord;
Luke 2:24 And to offer a sacrifice according
to that which is said in the law of the Lord,
A pair of turtledoves,
or two young pigeons.
Luke 2:29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace,
according to thy word:
Luke 2:39 And when they had performed all things
according to the law of the Lord,
they returned into Galilee,
to their own city Nazareth.
Luke 5:14 And he charged him to tell no man:
but go, and shew thyself to the priest,
and offer for thy cleansing,
according as Moses commanded,
for a testimony unto them.
Luke 12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will,
and prepared not himself,
neither did according to his will,
shall be beaten with many stripes.
Luke 23:56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments;
and rested the sabbath day
according to the commandment.
John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance,
but judge righteous judgment.
John 18:31 Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him,
and judge him according to your law.
The Jews therefore said unto him,
It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:
