I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “laid”.

Job 6:2 Oh that my grief were throughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together!

Job 18:10 The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.

Job 29:9 The princes refrained talking, and laid their hand on their mouth.

Job 31:9 If mine heart have been deceived by a woman, or if I have laid wait at my neighbour’s door;

Job 38:4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

Job 38:5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

Job 38:6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

Psa 3:5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.

Psa 21:5 His glory is great in thy salvation:
honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
