I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner, and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of mad .

Deu 28:34 So that thou shalt be mad
for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

1Sa 21:13 And he changed his behaviour before them,
and feigned himself mad in their hands,
and scrabbled on the doors of the gate,
and let his spittle fall down upon his beard.

1Sa 21:15 Have I need of mad men,
that ye have brought this fellow
to play the mad man in my presence?
shall this fellow come into my house?

2Ki 9:11 Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord:
and one said unto him, Is all well?
wherefore came this mad fellow to thee?

Psa 102:8 Mine enemies reproach me all the day;
and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.
