“Righteous” … from Torah in the OT (KJV)..

Keep thee far from a false matter;
and the innocent and righteous slay thou not:
for I will not justify the wicked.
– Exo 23:7

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “ righteous”.

Gen 7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah,
Come thou and all thy house into the ark;
for thee have I seen righteous before me in thTagsis generation.

Gen 18:23 And Abraham drew near,
and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

Gen 18:24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city:
wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place
for the fifty righteous that are therein?

Gen 18:25 That be far from thee to do after this manner,
to slay the righteous with the wicked:
and that the righteous should be as the wicked,
that be far from thee:
Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

Gen 18:26 And the LORD said,
If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city,
then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

Gen 18:28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous:
wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five?
And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.

Gen 20:4 But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said,
Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?

Gen 30:33 So shall my righteousness answer
for me in time to come,
when it shall come for my hire before thy face:
every one that is not speckled
and spotted among the goats,
and brown among the sheep,
that shall be counted stolen with me.

Gen 38:26 And Judah acknowledged them,
and said, She hath been more righteous than I;
because that I gave her not to Shelah my son.
And he knew her again no more.

Exo 9:27 And Pharaoh sent,
and called for Moses and Aaron,
and said unto them,
I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous,
and I and my people are wicked.

Exo 23:8 And thou shalt take no gift:
for the gift blindeth the wise,
and perverteth the words of the righteous.

and let my last end be like his!

and judge righteously between every man and his brother,

that hath statutes
and judgments so righteous as all this law,
which I set before you this day?

Deu 16:19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment;
thou shalt not respect persons,
neither take a gift:
for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise,
and pervert the words of the righteous.

Deu 25:1 If there be a controversy between men,
and they come unto judgment,
that the judges may judge them;
then they shall justify the righteous,
and condemn the wicked.
