I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “be upon us“.

Jos 9:20 This we will do to them;
we will even let them live,
lest wrath be upon us,
because of the oath which we sware unto them.
Psa 33:22 Let thy mercy,
O LORD, be upon us,
according as we hope in thee.
Psa 90:17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us:
and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
Eze 33:10 Therefore, O thou son of man,
speak unto the house of Israel;
Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions
and our sins be upon us,
and we pine away in them, how should we then live?
