I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “deeds of”.

Jer 5:28 They are waxen fat, they shine: yea,
they overpass the deeds of the wicked:
they judge not the cause,
the cause of the fatherless,
yet they prosper;
and the right of the needy do they not judge.

Luk 11:48 Truly ye bear witness that
ye allow the deeds of your fathers:
for they indeed killed them,
and ye build their sepulchres.

Joh 8:41 Ye do the deeds of your father.
Then said they to him,
We be not born of fornication;
we have one Father, even God.

Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law
there shall no flesh be justified in his sight:
for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that
a man is justified by faith
without the deeds of the law.

Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh,
ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit
