yet not distressed;
we are perplexed,

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “despair”.

1Sa 27:1 And David said in his heart,
I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul:
there is nothing better for me than
that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines;
and Saul shall despair of me,
to seek me any more in any coast of Israel:
so shall I escape out of his hand.

Ecc 2:20 Therefore I went about to cause my heart
to despair of all the labour
which I took under the sun.

2Co 1:8 For we would not, brethren,
have you ignorant of our trouble
which came to us in Asia,
that we were pressed out of measure,
above strength,
insomuch that we despaired even of life:

9. But we had the sentence of death in ourselves,
that we should not trust in ourselves,
but in God which raiseth the dead:
10. Who delivered us from so great a death,
and doth deliver:
in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
11. Ye also helping together by prayer for us,
that for the gift bestowed upon us
by the means of many persons
thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

, but not destroyed;
10. Always bearing about in the body
the dying of the Lord Jesus,
that the life also of Jesus might be
