I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “called the child…ren”.

Exo 2:8 And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her,
Go. And the maid went
and called the child’s mother.

1Sa 3:8 And the LORD called Samuel
again the third time.
And he arose and went to Eli,
and said, Here am I;
for thou didst call me.
And Eli perceived that
the LORD had called the child.

Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they shall be called the children of God.

Rom 9:26 And it shall come to pass,
that in the place where it was said unto them,
Ye are not my people;
there shall they be called the children of the living God.
